Craft with Kids: Easy Peasy Recycled Crayons

Howdy folks!

This weekend (long weekend - woohoo!) we had a go at recycling a bunch of old broken wax crayons.
We had a few lying in the bottom of pencil tins and we sourced some more from our local op-shop (thrift store) for the princely sum of 50c.

We melted them down in a silicone baking/ice tray arranged into similar colour groups with a few rainbow mixes for fun. The crayons came out great!

Putting our recycled crayons to the test!

The kids loved playing with the cross shapes like a jigsaw puzzle and because we mixed different shades together they work beautifully for drawing with.
We will definitely be making some more of these!
